Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and support to residents with dignity and respect
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Monitor resident condition and report changes promptly to the nursing team
- Follow care plans and document interventions accurately and timely
- Support a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
- Collaborate with team members to ensure coordinated, person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current GNA/CNA certification or state-equivalent certification (required)
- Active/state-appropriate licensure where applicable
- CPR certification (or willing to obtain upon hire)
- Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations/TB test
- Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but new grads with certification are welcome
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- GNA/CNA certification from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with residents and team members
- Basic clinical skills: vital signs, safe transfer techniques, infection control practices
- Ability to follow care plans and document observations clearly
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach and good time management
- Comfortable working independently during night shifts and escalating concerns when needed
