Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to patients with respect and dignity
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and document patient condition and report changes to nursing staff
- Support safe transfers and ambulation, using proper body mechanics
- Follow care plans and assist the team in delivering excellent patient-centered care
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control practices
Qualifications
- Active GNA or CNA certification (Maryland certification preferred)
- Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
- Minimum experience providing hands-on patient care preferred
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of an approved GNA/CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing assistant tasks and patient care techniques
- Comfortable with documentation and following care plans
- Able to safely assist with transfers and use of mobility aids
- Good observational skills to notice and report patient changes
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently during shift
