Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Assist with safe transfers, positioning, and mobility support
- Take and record vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
- Document care accurately and communicate effectively with the care team
- Support residents' emotional well-being through respectful, person-centered interaction
Qualifications
- GNA certification or state-approved nursing assistant credential (Maryland preferred)
- Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
- Clear background check and any facility-required screenings
- Comfortable with patient lifting and mobility assistance
- Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and teamwork mindset
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of an approved GNA training program preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care and ADL assistance
- Vital signs measurement and documentation
- Infection control practices and safe patient handling
- Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical staff
- Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
