Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing setting
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Monitor resident condition and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers while maintaining continuity of care
- Support care planning and champion resident dignity, safety, and comfort
Qualifications
- Current LPN license in Maryland (or compact license where applicable)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills
- Ability to work the scheduled 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift and collaborate with teammates
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
- High school diploma or GED required
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Basic wound care and restorative nursing principles
- Resident-centered care and effective communication with families
- Familiarity with electronic medical records or clinical charting
- Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
