Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for residents in a long-term care setting
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per facility policy
- Monitor resident condition and communicate changes to the care team promptly
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges while ensuring continuity of care
- Collaborate with nursing staff, therapists, and physicians to support care plans
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in clinical records and charts
- Support a safe, clean environment and adhere to infection control practices
Qualifications
- Current LPN license in Maryland or eligibility to obtain Maryland licensure
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Previous experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN diploma or equivalent)
- High school diploma or GED
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Basic nursing assessments and vital signs monitoring
- Familiarity with electronic health records and charting
- Infection control, wound care basics, and safe patient handling
- Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced care environment
