Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct nursing care to residents, promoting dignity and comfort
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
- Monitor and record vital signs, patient responses, and changes in condition
- Collaborate with RNs and interdisciplinary team members to update care plans
- Document care in the chart thoroughly and promptly to ensure continuity
- Support residents with activities of daily living and mobility as needed
- Communicate clearly with families and staff to keep everyone informed
Qualifications
- Current LPN license in Maryland (must be active and in good standing)
- BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Comfort with medication administration, wound care basics, and resident care
- Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Ability to pass background checks and any required health screenings
Education
- Completion of an accredited LPN/licensing program
- High school diploma or GED
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and observation skills
- Medication administration and IV/PO familiarity as applicable
- Basic wound care and infection control practices
- Accurate documentation skills and comfort with electronic health records
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced skilled nursing environment
- Compassionate bedside manner and effective team collaboration
