Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Assist with safe transfers and mobility; promote independence whenever possible
- Monitor and accurately document vital signs and resident status
- Communicate changes in condition promptly to nursing staff and document interventions
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
- Support individualized care plans and participate in team care planning
- Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in New Mexico (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtain upon hire
- Ability to work overnight shifts reliably
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background checks as required
- Local residency or ability to commute (LOCAL ONLY)
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completed state-approved CNA program and active certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience with resident care and ADLs
- Familiarity with charting and basic documentation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
- Comfortable with mobility assistance and basic patient handling
