Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Monitor residents, take basic vital signs, and report any changes promptly
- Document resident care and observations accurately and timely
- Work collaboratively with nurses and interdisciplinary team to support care plans
- Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for residents
- Communicate clearly and kindly with residents and families to support comfort and understanding
Qualifications
- Valid GNA certification or state equivalent (required)
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Clear background check and required immunizations
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM night shift
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs including bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Basic vital signs measurement and documentation skills
- Understanding of infection control and resident safety practices
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow care plans and report changes promptly
- Compassionate approach to resident-centered care
