Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and daily living assistance
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and document resident condition changes and report to nursing staff
- Support safe transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics
- Help create a comfortable, dignified environment for residents
- Collaborate with the care team to follow individualized care plans
Qualifications
- Active GNA certification (required)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) preferred or willing to obtain
- Valid state-required licensure and ability to work in Maryland
- Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations/TB screening
- Compassionate attitude, strong communication, and team-player mindset
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of state-approved GNA training program required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic resident care procedures and safety standards
- Ability to document care accurately and communicate observations
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs (activities of daily living)
- Basic infection control and hand hygiene practices
- Good interpersonal skills and patience when working with seniors
