Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents with dignity and respect
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
- Help create a comfortable, safe environment and promote resident independence
- Document care activities accurately and timely according to facility policy
- Collaborate with the care team to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Active GNA certification or state equivalent (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Comfortable working the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift (listed as Night Shift)
- Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude
- Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting preferred
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- GNA certification (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic patient care practices and infection control
- Ability to assist with transfers and use safe body mechanics
- Familiarity with documentation standards in a care setting
- Ability to follow care plans and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Time management and observation skills to notice changes in residents
