Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Assist residents with mobility, bathing, dressing, and feeding with dignity
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff
- Support the nursing team by following care plans and carrying out delegated tasks
- Accurately document care provided and communicate observations clearly
- Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for residents
Qualifications
- Current Maryland GNA or CNA certification (or state equivalent)
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to resident care
- Previous experience in long-term care or assisted living is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of GNA/CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Assistance with ADLs (activities of daily living)
- Basic vital signs monitoring and reporting
- Infection control and safe patient handling
- Accurate documentation and basic charting
- Teamwork, time management, and professional communication
