Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ condition to the nursing team promptly
- Assist with safe transfers and mobility support to promote resident independence
- Follow care plans and document care accurately and timely
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and practice standard infection control measures
- Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication
Qualifications
- Active GNA or CNA certification as required by state regulations
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred; new grads welcome to apply
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- GNA or CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong skills in assisting with ADLs and basic resident care
- Comfortable taking and reporting basic vital signs
- Good communication and teamwork with nurses and interdisciplinary staff
- Understanding of infection control and safety practices
- Compassionate approach and strong observation skills
