Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care during the evening/night shift
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings in the chart
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
- Collaborate with nursing staff to coordinate care and shift handoffs
- Monitor patient status and escalate concerns to nursing leadership or providers promptly
- Support admission, discharge, and transfer processes as needed
Qualifications
- Current LPN license (practical nurse) in Maryland or eligible to transfer
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work the 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM evening/night shift
- Comfortable with medication administration, wound care, and routine nursing procedures
- Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations as required
Education
- Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing / LPN program
- Current Maryland LPN license required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
- Accurate medication administration and documentation
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) charting
- Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
- Time management and prioritization during shift work
