Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care to assigned patients and promote their comfort and safety
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document appropriately
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, reporting significant changes promptly
- Maintain clear, timely charting in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with nurses, providers, and the care team to deliver coordinated patient-centered care
- Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and follow-up instructions
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers to ensure smooth patient flow
Qualifications
- Current, active LPN license (practical nurse) — Maryland license preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Comfortable working night shift hours (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM)
- Previous LPN experience in ambulatory, long-term care, or acute care settings is a plus
Education
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing (LPN/LVN) program
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
- Proficient with electronic medical record documentation
- Good communication and teamwork skills with patients, families, and colleagues
- Basic wound care and infection control practices
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively during busy shifts
