Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents in a rehabilitation setting
- Assist with activities of daily living — bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility support
- Monitor resident condition and report changes promptly to nursing staff
- Support therapeutic and care plans developed by clinical team members
- Document care delivered accurately and maintain resident dignity and privacy
- Collaborate with teammates to create a safe, clean, and comfortable environment
Qualifications
- Current T-CNA certification (or equivalent CNA certification) required
- Active/state-appropriate CNA license or certification for New Mexico preferred
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to resident care
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with rehab center routines and resident care best practices
- Basic clinical skills: vital signs, transfers, and safe resident handling
- Good documentation practices and attention to detail
- Teamwork mindset and ability to follow care plans and direction from nursing staff
- Time management skills to balance care tasks during longer day shifts
