Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents in the rehab center, keeping dignity front and center
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Monitor patient conditions and promptly report changes to the care team
- Collaborate with RNs, therapists, and support staff to deliver coordinated care plans
- Support activities of daily living and encourage resident independence when possible
- Educate residents and families with a kind, clear approach that makes healthcare feel human
Qualifications
- Current LPN license in New Mexico (or compact license where applicable)
- T-LPN experience accepted/preferred (per job posting)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Prior long-term care or rehab experience preferred — 1+ year recommended
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- Completion of an accredited LPN/licensed practical nurse program or vocational nursing diploma
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and accurate charting
- Wound care basics and infection prevention principles
- Familiarity with rehab nursing routines and care plans
- Good assessment skills and ability to escalate concerns appropriately
- Comfortable working overnight shifts with solid time-management skills
