Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in a rehabilitation setting
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document appropriately
- Collaborate with therapists and interdisciplinary team members to support patient recovery
- Monitor patient condition, report changes promptly, and escalate concerns as needed
- Assist with activities of daily living and implement individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate, timely charting and uphold facility policies and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Current LPN license in New Mexico (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (preferred or required by facility)
- Previous experience in rehab, long-term care, or skilled nursing preferred
- Ability to work overnight shifts and provide reliable coverage
- Current immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
Education
- Vocational Nursing diploma or completion of an accredited LPN program
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Familiarity with rehabilitation nursing principles and transfer/ambulation assistance
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Basic wound care, infection control, and vital signs monitoring
- Comfortable with electronic health record charting
