Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate bedside nursing care to residents
- Administer medications and treatments according to care plans and policies
- Monitor and document vital signs, patient condition, and response to treatment
- Collaborate with RNs, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care
- Support activities of daily living and encourage resident independence
- Respond promptly to changes in patient status and escalate concerns as needed
- Maintain accurate, timely charting in the clinical record system
- Contribute to a positive, resident-centered environment
Qualifications
- Current, active LPN license for New Mexico
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification
- Prior experience in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting preferred
- Ability to pass required background checks and immunization requirements
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Education
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program and LPN licensure
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Skilled in taking and interpreting vital signs
- Familiarity with rehab and long-term care nursing routines
- Proficient charting and electronic medical record use
- Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to urgent resident needs
- Compassionate patient interaction and family communication
