Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care to residents in a rehabilitation setting
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document resident responses accurately
- Collaborate with RNs, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care
- Support residents with activities of daily living while promoting independence
- Communicate clearly with residents and families about care plans and progress
- Observe and report changes in resident condition and participate in care planning
Qualifications
- Current LPN license in New Mexico (or compact state where applicable)
- CPR/BLS certification
- Experience in long-term care or rehabilitation preferred but new graduates considered
- Clear background check and required health screenings per facility policy
- Ability to work scheduled night shifts and 12+ hour rotations
Education
- Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong medication administration and documentation skills
- Comfortable with wound care, IV therapy support, and common rehab nursing tasks
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Basic clinical assessment and charting proficiency
- Compassionate resident-centered care approach
