Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, person-centered nursing care to rehab residents
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor patient status, document changes, and escalate concerns promptly
- Support rehabilitation plans by assisting with mobility and ADLs
- Collaborate with RNs, therapists, and the care team to optimize outcomes
- Maintain accurate medical records and comply with facility policies
Qualifications
- Active LPN license (Licensed Practical Nurse) — New Mexico license preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain promptly)
- Comfortable working overnight shifts and providing direct resident care
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Current immunizations and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- Diploma or Certificate in Practical Nursing (LPN) or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Basic wound care and infection control principles
- Familiarity with rehab nursing and assisting with ADLs
- Strong observational skills and ability to prioritize patient needs
- Comfortable using electronic medical records and standard nursing charts
