Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality respiratory care to adult and pediatric ICU patients
- Assess and monitor respiratory status and intervene appropriately
- Perform airway management and assist with advanced respiratory procedures as needed
- Administer respiratory therapies and medications within scope of practice
- Document all care accurately and timely in Epic
- Float between like units to support staffing needs
- Work scheduled nights, weekends and holidays and follow the facility call-off and makeup shift policy
Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience (as stated)
- Comfortable caring for both pediatric and adult ICU patients
- Experience with Epic charting preferred
- Able to float between like units as needed
- Active state respiratory license or eligible to obtain one (confirm facility license acceptance with recruiter)
Knowledge & Skills
- Respiratory Therapy
- ICU experience
- Pediatrics and adult critical care comfort
- Epic electronic charting
- Ability to float between units
- Night shift experience and resiliency in high-acuity settings
- Familiarity with trauma center workflows (Level III teaching hospital environment)
