Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver precise external beam radiation treatments using IMRT, SRS, and SBRT techniques
- Perform patient setup, positioning, and beam modifying tasks to ensure safe, effective treatments
- Use CBCT/kV/mV imaging and treatment planning tools to verify target alignment and dose delivery
- Collaborate with the oncology team to review treatment plans and support patient-centered care
- Maintain radiation safety protocols and document treatments in Epic and Mosaiq
- Provide clear patient and family teaching to help reduce anxiety and improve outcomes
- Respond to emergency cases and participate in interdisciplinary rapid response when needed
- Supervise implementation of treatment plans and ensure quality assurance standards are met
Qualifications
- ARRT (T) certification required
- BLS certification required
- Active State Radiation Therapist license required; pending licenses are not accepted
- Minimum 1 year of radiation therapy experience
- Experience with Epic charting strongly preferred
- Comfortable with SRS, SBRT, IMRT workflows and external beam therapy techniques
- Willingness to be trained on Elekta systems if needed
Knowledge & Skills
- Radiation Therapy fundamentals and Radiation Safety
- External Beam Therapy, IMRT, SRS, SBRT
- CBCT / kV / mV imaging and treatment planning verification
- Beam modifying and patient positioning techniques
- Experience with Epic and Mosaiq charting systems
- Familiarity with C-RAD, Elekta Synergy and Elekta Infinity equipment
- Respiratory gating and advanced stereotactic workflows
- Patient/family teaching and compassionate care skills
