Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care in a long-term care setting
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely
- Monitor and document vital signs, changes in condition, and patient progress
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and follow care plans
- Communicate clearly with residents and families to support comfort and understanding
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow facility policies and protocols
- Support admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed to ensure smooth transitions
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in New Mexico (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (preferred or obtain upon hire)
- Comfortable working night shift hours and managing a full resident load
- Background check and drug screening per facility policy
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred (1+ years recommended)
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program
- High school diploma or GED
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong medication administration and documentation skills
- Excellent resident assessment and basic clinical skills
- Infection control and wound care fundamentals
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Time management and prioritization in busy shifts
- Familiarity with electronic or paper charting systems
