Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and toileting with dignity and respect
- Monitor resident conditions and report changes promptly to the nursing team
- Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Provide compassionate companionship and engage residents in meaningful interactions
- Maintain accurate bedside documentation and follow care plans
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
Qualifications
- GNA certification (required) or equivalent state nursing assistant credential
- Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or obtain upon hire)
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Comfortable working a 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift and flexible to facility needs
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- GNA certification or state-approved nursing assistant credential
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic nursing assistant skills and resident care best practices
- Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
- Good documentation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow care plans and communicate observations clearly
- Compassionate patient-centered approach and strong interpersonal skills
