Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, compassionate direct patient care with dignity and respect
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and report vital signs and observe changes in patient condition
- Support nursing team with safe transfers and positioning to prevent injury
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to keep residents and staff safe
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (or state equivalent) — proud of your credential? So are we
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred
- Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings
- Strong interpersonal skills and a heart for patient-centered care
- Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an approved GNA training program (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and mobility support
- Basic vital signs measurement and observation skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate care
- Understanding of infection prevention and basic safety procedures
- Reliable time management and ability to follow care plans
