Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and reporting changes promptly
- Support residents with mobility, personal hygiene, and feeding when needed
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean, safe environment
- Document care activities accurately and communicate effectively with the care team
- Build trusting relationships with residents and families to enhance quality of life
Qualifications
- GNA certification or relevant state nursing assistant certification required
- Current basic life support (BLS) may be required or preferred
- Proof of required immunizations and successful background check
- Compassion, reliability, and the ability to work the assigned 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift
- Prior experience in long-term care is a plus but new grads with certification are welcome
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- GNA / Nursing Assistant certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care skills and attention to detail
- Ability to measure and record vital signs accurately
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic charting and documentation familiarity
- Awareness of infection control standards and resident safety practices
