Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living for residents
- Support safe transfers and mobility, following proper body mechanics and facility protocols
- Assist with mealtime, feeding, and hydration while promoting resident dignity
- Observe and report changes in residents’ conditions to nursing staff promptly
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
- Contribute to a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
Qualifications
- Active GNA certification or equivalent required
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Previous long-term care or assisted living experience is a plus
- Reliable, compassionate, and team-oriented attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic clinical skills and resident care techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents and families
- Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
- Ability to follow care plans and instruction from licensed nursing staff
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
