Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform cardiac catheterization support and assist the interventional team during procedures
- Monitor and care for patients pre-, intra-, and post-procedure with attention to safety and comfort
- Operate and maintain cath lab equipment and ensure readiness for scheduled and emergent cases
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and techs to coordinate patient care and improve outcomes
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Epic
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement and infection prevention practices
- Respond to call and weekend assignments professionally and reliably
Qualifications
- Current RN license (state licensure required or eligible to obtain)
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience (per job posting requirement); first-timers are accepted
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required; advanced certifications such as ACLS encouraged
- Ability to work 3x12 day shifts plus participate in call and weekend rotation
- Comfortable charting in Epic or willing to learn quickly
- Strong teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of cardiac procedures and cath lab workflow
- Skill in monitoring hemodynamics and recognizing abnormalities
- Familiarity with sterile technique and procedural equipment
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Clear documentation and handoff communication skills
