Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care on Medical OT-8HR, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per facility policy
- Perform focused nursing assessments and report changes in patient condition promptly
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and execute patient care plans
- Educate patients and families about treatments, medications, and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate, timely charting to support continuity of care and compliance
Qualifications
- Current California LVN license (required)
- BLS/CPR certification (preferred or obtain upon hire)
- Comfortable working Tuesday through Saturday 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Previous experience in a medical/surgical or acute care setting is a plus
Education
- Completion of an accredited Vocational Nursing program (LVN)
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and basic clinical procedures
- Patient assessment, documentation, and handoff communication
- Infection control practices and safety protocols
- Time management to handle a busy shift effectively
- Empathy and professionalism when interacting with patients and families
