Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents with dignity and respect
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and report changes in resident status to nursing staff promptly
- Follow care plans and document care accurately and on time
- Support a safe and clean environment by adhering to infection control practices
- Collaborate with team members to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Valid GNA certification (or equivalent state certification) required
- Previous experience in long-term care or assisted living is a plus
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Able to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
- Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- GNA certification or state-recognized nursing assistant credential
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of basic nursing assistant duties and infection control
- Ability to document care and communicate observations clearly
- Comfortable assisting with mobility and transfers
- Team-player mindset with dependable attendance and punctuality
- Calm under pressure and skilled at de-escalating challenging situations
