Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate and assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures with precision and safety
- Prepare cath lab rooms, instruments, and supplies to ensure efficient procedures
- Monitor patients intra-procedurally and assist the cardiology team to deliver excellent patient care
- Maintain sterile technique and follow radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff
- Document procedures, patient status, and equipment usage accurately and promptly
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and techs to continuously improve workflow and patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience (as stated in the job posting)
- Previous Cardiac Cath Lab experience strongly preferred
- Current BLS required; ACLS preferred or as required by facility
- State licensure and any required facility credentials
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced cath lab environment and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited Cardiac Catheterization Technologist program or relevant allied health training preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with cardiac catheterization equipment and sterile field setup
- Understanding of hemodynamics, ECG interpretation basics, and monitoring
- Excellent patient care and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to document accurately
- Ability to follow radiation safety and infection control procedures
