Candidate Pay Rate: $40.60/hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing function to create patient-centered care plans
- Develop and implement evidence-based therapy plans that improve daily functioning and quality of life
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, occupational and physical therapists to coordinate holistic care
- Document evaluations, progress notes and discharge recommendations clearly and timely
- Educate patients, families and caregivers on strategies to support communication and swallowing safety
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to treatment planning
Qualifications
- Active state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (must be current and unrestricted)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical SLP experience (as listed in the job posting)
- Experience with adult inpatient therapy and dysphagia management preferred
- Comfortable with interdisciplinary collaboration and electronic medical records
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) preferred or willing to obtain
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (typical requirement for SLP roles)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assessment and treatment of speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders
- Familiarity with standardized assessment tools and functional treatment planning
- Strong clinical documentation and time-management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and care teams
- Experience with compensatory strategies, restorative therapy and caregiver training
