Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications accurately and safely for inpatient and outpatient needs
• Review medication orders for appropriateness, interactions, and allergies
• Counsel patients and healthcare team members on medication use and safe administration
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians to optimize pharmacotherapy
• Participate in medication use evaluations and quality improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy policies, state regulations, and accreditation standards
• Maintain accurate medication records and support inventory management

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist license (Florida) or eligibility to obtain prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of pharmacist experience (as listed in the job posting)
• Current BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Demonstrated experience in hospital/inpatient pharmacy practice preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a busy team
• Willingness to complete facility-specific onboarding and credentialing requirements

Education

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred or Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharmacy) required/acceptable depending on state licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in medication dispensing processes and safety protocols
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) and pharmacy information systems
• Knowledge of inpatient pharmacy workflows, IV admixture, and sterile compounding basics
• Ability to perform medication reconciliation and clinical interventions
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Customer-focused approach to patient counseling and clinician support
