Roles & Responsibilities
- Dispense and verify medications accurately for inpatient needs
- Monitor medication therapy and provide clinical recommendations
- Prepare and verify parenteral admixtures and compounding per protocol
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate medication records and ensure compliance with regulations
- Provide patient counseling and education when appropriate
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacist license in Florida or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Minimum 2 years of pharmacy experience (as stated in job data)
- Current BLS certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong medication safety and dispensing knowledge
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently on nights
Education
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred; BS in Pharmacy considered
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical medication knowledge and accurate dosing calculations
- Medication safety practices and inventory management
- Hospital pharmacy workflow and collaboration with clinical teams
- Comfort working autonomously during night shifts and handling critical decisions
