Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT scans with care, accuracy, and attention to patient safety
- Prepare and position patients for CT exams while explaining procedures in a calm, reassuring way
- Operate CT equipment and adjust protocols to obtain diagnostic images
- Monitor patients during procedures and respond promptly to clinical changes
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in the PACS/RIS
- Collaborate with radiologists and the care team to support timely, diagnostic imaging
- Adhere to radiation safety standards and infection control policies at all times
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of CT experience (as stated in the job posting)
- Certification or registry in CT preferred (ARRT CT or equivalent) — registry-eligible candidates may be considered
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or able to obtain upon hire
- Active state licensure/registration as a Radiologic Technologist (ability to obtain Florida credentials for the assignment)
- Strong patient care skills, attention to detail, and effective communication
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or CT program (or equivalent clinical experience)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with CT scanners and cross-sectional imaging protocols
- Familiarity with PACS/RIS systems and digital imaging workflows
- Solid understanding of radiation safety and dose reduction techniques
- Excellent patient positioning and image-quality optimization skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced radiology environment
