Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain cardiac catheterization lab equipment with precision and safety
- Prepare patients for procedures and provide compassionate support throughout
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
- Monitor patient vitals and respond quickly to changes during procedures
- Document procedures, maintain accurate records, and ensure equipment readiness
- Follow infection control and radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab Tech experience (as stated in job posting)
- Current basic life support (BLS) certification; advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) preferred
- Relevant state licensure or certification as required for Cath Lab techs
- Proven ability to work in high-acuity procedural environments
- Strong communication skills and a patient-first mindset
Education
- Completion of an accredited Cath Lab Tech program or Associate degree in a related field
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in cardiac catheterization lab procedures and sterile technique
- Familiarity with fluoroscopy and radiologic equipment safety
- Ability to monitor hemodynamics and recognize cardiac complications
- Skilled in patient positioning, prepping, and post-procedure care
- Comfortable documenting procedures in electronic medical records
