Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab
- Assist cardiologists and the cath lab team during diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Monitor patients pre-, intra-, and post-procedure and respond promptly to changes
- Administer medications, manage IVs and lines, and follow procedural protocols
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient patient flow and safety
- Document care accurately and communicate critical information during handoffs
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Florida or compact RN license (if applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience (as stated in the job posting)
- Experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or strong cath lab orientation background preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
- Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to act under pressure
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- BSN preferred but not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with cath lab equipment, monitors, and sterile technique
- Understanding of cardiac anatomy, intervention procedures, and post-procedure care
- Proficiency in patient monitoring, hemodynamic assessments, and medication administration
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and maintain situational awareness in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable documenting in electronic health record systems
