Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality outpatient hematology and oncology care to adult and geriatric patients
• Perform and manage bone marrow biopsies with competence and care
• Manage VAD/CV catheters and related vascular access issues
• Participate actively in Tumor Board meetings to guide multidisciplinary patient care
• Manage bone marrow transplant patients as part of the program
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging to guide treatment plans
• Prescribe medications, including chemotherapy regimens, and ensure safe administration
• Coordinate with blood bank services and manage transfusion needs
• Document patient encounters thoroughly and efficiently in EPIC

Qualifications

• MD or DO with Hematology/Oncology fellowship training
• Active Indiana medical license or eligibility to obtain one (credentialing ~60 days with IN license; ~90 days without)
• Proven experience in outpatient hematology/oncology practice
• Demonstrated skills in bone marrow biopsy and management of VAD/CV catheters
• Experience managing bone marrow transplant patients and participation in Tumor Boards
• Experience with chemotherapy prescribing and oversight of safe administration
• Familiarity with EPIC or comparable EMR
• Ability to complete required credentialing and privileging in a timely manner

• MD or DO degree; Hematology/Oncology fellowship
