Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered gastroenterology care across outpatient, endoscopy, and inpatient settings
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures with attention to safety and outcomes
• Manage consultative hospital services and coordinate care with inpatient teams
• Collaborate closely with dedicated APPs and multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver efficient, team-based care
• Document thoroughly and efficiently in EPIC to support continuity and quality metrics
• Participate in call rotation (1:4) and contribute to the growth of an established referral base within the medical group and ACO
• Engage in quality improvement and professional development opportunities

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree with completion of an accredited Gastroenterology fellowship
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
• Prefer 3-5 years post-graduate experience, though GI fellows are encouraged to apply
• Advanced endoscopy training preferred but not required
• Ohio medical license or eligibility to obtain one; ability to meet credentialing requirements
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.; position is not open to visa candidates
• Not open to Locum tenens candidates

Education

• MD or DO and completion of an accredited Gastroenterology fellowship
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Gastroenterology

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven skills in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy
• Comfortable managing both inpatient consults and outpatient continuity clinic
• Experience using EPIC electronic medical record
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, including APP collaboration
• Familiarity with quality metrics, ACO collaboration, and patient-centered care models
