Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate outpatient OBGYN and women's health nursing care in an urgent care/clinic setting
• Perform and assist with OBGYN procedures (PAP, Colpo, LEEP, D&C, EMB, IUD insertions/removals, Nexplanon, NST) following clinic protocols
• Start and maintain IVs, perform blood draws and handle specimen labeling and transport
• Chart accurately and efficiently in Epic to support continuity of care
• Triage patient phone calls, manage refill requests, and coordinate follow-up care
• Administer vaccines and document immunizations per policy
• Educate patients on procedures, medications, and follow-up instructions with clarity and empathy

Qualifications

• Active California LVN license
• Minimum 3 years LVN experience in an outpatient or urgent care setting (L&D experience acceptable if outpatient clinic experience included)
• BLS certification (AHS or ARC) required
• IV/Blood Draw certification and proven proficiency with phlebotomy
• Epic charting experience required
• Flu vaccination required (no declinations or exemptions)
• Comfortable floating to nearby clinics within scope of practice

Education

• Vocational nursing diploma or equivalent
• Active California LVN license

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong Epic documentation and electronic chart navigation
• Phlebotomy and IV start competency
• Familiarity with OBGYN procedures and women's health clinical workflows
• Telephone triage and patient education skills
• Medication administration (IM & SQ) and medication reconciliation
• Interpretation of basic lab results and specimen handling
• Ability to work independently in a busy outpatient clinic environment
