Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to MedSurg and inpatient rehab patients
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Perform comprehensive assessments and monitor patient progress
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including therapists and physicians to drive recovery plans
• Educate patients and families to support discharge readiness and ongoing care
• Maintain clear, timely charting in the facility EMR and support continuity of care

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license (able to work in Texas)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience (MedSurg or Inpatient Rehab preferred)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (required)
• Comfortable working a 12-hour day shift and supporting rehab-focused care

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong MedSurg clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
• Familiarity with inpatient rehabilitation processes and goals
• IV therapy, medication administration, and basic wound care
• Clear documentation habits and comfort with electronic medical records
• Team-oriented communication and patient/family education skills
