Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform special procedures in radiology with precision and patient-centered care
- Prepare procedure rooms, imaging equipment, and supplies for safe, efficient workflows
- Assist radiologists and interventional teams during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, ensuring comfort and safety
- Maintain accurate procedure documentation and ensure compliance with protocols
- Troubleshoot imaging equipment and collaborate with biomedical engineering as needed
- Uphold infection control, radiation safety, and quality assurance standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in radiology or special procedures (explicitly required)
- Current certification or licensure as a Radiologic Technologist or Special Procedures Tech (e.g., ARRT) preferred
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Strong patient care skills with excellent communication and teamwork
- Ability to complete required state licensure for the assignment location
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduation from an accredited radiologic technologist or special procedures program preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in fluoroscopy and other radiologic special procedures
- Knowledge of patient positioning, sterile technique, and contrast administration protocols
- Familiarity with imaging equipment operation and basic troubleshooting
- Ability to follow procedural protocols, maintain documentation, and ensure radiation safety
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment and prioritizing patient safety
