Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (Day) with on-call responsibilities; includes 1 weekend per month and weekday call 4-5 days per pay period. Call coverage extends from end of shift to 7:30 AM next scheduled weekday; weekend call covers end of shift Friday through Monday 7:30 AM. (Day / On-call / Rotating as needed)

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality peri-procedural nursing care in the cardiac catheterization lab
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient procedures
• Monitor and assess patient status before, during, and after cath lab interventions
• Maintain sterile technique, equipment readiness, and accurate procedure documentation
• Respond to on-call activations promptly and deliver calm, competent care during emergent situations
• Participate in unit-based checklists and competency validations to keep standards high

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Experience in an adult Cardiac Catheterization Lab or similar invasive cardiology environment
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NRP, NIHSS, and CPI certifications required as listed by the facility
• Ability to fulfill on-call and weekend coverage as described
• Completion of facility-specific skills checklist and required health screenings

Education

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, hemodynamics, and cath lab procedures
• Familiarity with sterile field maintenance and interventional equipment
• Comfortable with telemetry monitoring, sedation, and post-procedure care
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in high-acuity settings
• Accurate documentation and adherence to hospital policies and checklists
• Critical thinking and the ability to prioritize during urgent situations
