Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert, patient-centered nursing care during interventional radiology procedures
• Prepare patients and maintain a sterile field throughout procedures
• Monitor patients’ hemodynamic and respiratory status during and after interventions
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and anesthesia to ensure safe outcomes
• Respond to on-call situations promptly and provide clear, calm clinical decision-making
• Document assessments, interventions and post-procedure care accurately in the chart
• Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives within the IR service

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) credential (state licensure required)
• BLS certification required
• Experience or demonstrated competency in Interventional Radiology nursing preferred
• Successful completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and license/certificate verification
• Required pre-employment health screenings (drug screen, immunizations, fit test, PPD/IGRA, etc.)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of interventional radiology procedures, sterile technique, and device handling
• Proficient in patient assessment, monitoring, and post-procedure care
• Familiarity with vascular access, contrast administration considerations, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Ability to work effectively in high-acuity procedural settings and on-call scenarios
• Clear communication skills and teamwork mindset with multidisciplinary teams
• Comfortable with electronic medical record documentation and regulatory compliance
