Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust respiratory care plans as part of the multidisciplinary team
- Provide respiratory treatments and interventions ordered by physicians while maintaining strong communication with medical and nursing staff
- Deliver clear education and instructions to patients and families about respiratory disease processes, procedures, and discharge plans
- Plan, implement and evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory care therapies
- Share clinical knowledge with staff and students; serve as a role model for clinical practice
- Accept reassignment to other units when needed to support patient care
Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required — CRT candidates considered
- Active Illinois respiratory license
- BLS certification required
- NRP-MHC certification
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
- Comfortable participating in multidisciplinary care and clinical teaching
Education
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient assessment and care planning skills
- Hands-on respiratory care expertise (ventilator management, airway care, therapies)
- Clear patient education and communication abilities
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to adapt and accept reassignment as clinical needs change
- Clinical teaching and precepting skills
