Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (Day) — weekdays only, no nights, weekends or holidays
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Scrub and pass instruments efficiently and safely during orthopedic and spine procedures
- Assist the surgical team as First Assist during cases including total joint replacements, hand, foot & ankle, and spine surgery
- Prepare operating room and equipment, including robotic total joint replacement systems when applicable
- Maintain strict sterile technique and ensure proper instrument counts for patient safety
- Coordinate with OR RN and other team members to ensure 1:1 patient focus and smooth case flow
- Perform accurate paper documentation and handoff information to the receiving team
- Support onboarding and mentorship of new staff by sharing best practices and unit knowledge
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years surgical technologist experience (orthopedics strongly preferred)
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required; certification may be waived with appropriate experience
- BLS certification required
- Experience as First Assist or demonstrated first assist skills preferred
- Comfortable assisting with robotic total joint replacement and other advanced orthopedic procedures
- Ability to work daytime weekday schedules and adapt to occasional overtime
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent training; CST preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of orthopedic instruments and implants, including total joint systems
- Proven sterile technique and operating room asepsis
- Familiarity with robotic surgical platforms and setup
- Excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced OR environment
- Proficiency with paper-based documentation systems
- Patient positioning and intraoperative safety practices
