Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled rehabilitation nursing care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Monitor telemetry and respond to cardiac rhythm changes promptly
• Administer IV medications and blood products safely and according to policy
• Perform head-to-toe patient assessments and document findings in Meditech Magic
• Obtain lab draws and report critical values to the care team
• Educate patients and families about rehabilitation plans and self-care techniques
• Implement individualized care plans and evaluate patient progress toward goals
• Advocate for patient safety and comfort while using appropriate equipment such as patient lifts

Qualifications

• Active RN license (required for assignment)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience (experience in rehab or post-acute highly valued)
• BLS certification (required)
• IV therapy certification or demonstrated IV competency (required)
• Telemetry competency / ability to read telemetry (required)
• CRRN certification (preferred)
• ACLS certification (preferred or able to obtain within facility timeframe)
• Experience with Meditech Magic or similar EMR (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Rehabilitation nursing principles and care plan implementation
• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
• IV therapy, medication administration, and blood administration
• Phlebotomy and lab draw techniques
• Patient assessment, documentation, and patient education
• Familiarity with Meditech Magic EMR and common rehab equipment
• Strong communication, empathy, and patient advocacy skills
