Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer daily medications to patients in accordance with program policy and medical protocols
• Operate and maintain automated dispensing systems, including pump calibration and dispensing equipment upkeep
• Manage medication inventory, order and stock supplies in compliance with DEA and state regulations (Power of Attorney responsibilities if granted)
• Produce and maintain accurate records and reports required by company protocol and federal/state regulations
• Ensure secure handling, storage and distribution of controlled substances per CFR and facility policy
• Provide daily patient assessments and communicate clinical observations to the treatment team
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing supervisors and counseling staff to support comprehensive patient care
• Assist Nursing Supervisor with orientation and supervisory support for new nursing staff

Qualifications

• Active LPN or LVN license in New Hampshire (Nursys must show Active NH or compact license) — active at time of submission
• Minimum 1+ year of medication administration experience — required
• BLS certification — required and must be documented
• Skills checklist current to 1 year relevant to LPN practice — required
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years — required
• Experience in Opioid Treatment Programs or methadone clinics highly preferred
• Comfortable working in an OTP clinic and demonstrating a non-judgmental, empathetic approach to patients with substance use disorder

Education

• Practical or Vocational Nursing diploma/certificate (LPN/LVN) or equivalent clinical training required

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and medication dispensing best practices
• Use and troubleshooting of automated dispensing systems and pump calibration
• Controlled substances handling, secure storage and DEA/state regulatory compliance
• Medication inventory management and record keeping
• Patient assessment and clinical documentation
• Basic life support (BLS) and emergency response readiness
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary treatment teams
• Compassionate, non-judgmental approach for working with people with opioid use disorder
