Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess, prioritize and stabilize patients in a high-volume emergency department setting
- Perform rapid triage and deliver evidence-based emergency care for trauma and stroke patients
- Administer medications and manage infusions using Baxter pumps while monitoring with GE monitors
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Cerner
- Collaborate with physicians, techs and support staff to coordinate excellent, timely care
- Coach, mentor and provide real-time feedback to colleagues to support team development
- Deliver outstanding patient experience using AIDET and clear communication throughout the visit
- Adhere to unit policies, safety protocols and quality initiatives to maintain high standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license (North Carolina or compact) required
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year in an ER setting
- Experience in a Level 2 trauma center and a comprehensive stroke center preferred
- History working in a high-volume ED (>100,000 visits) strongly desired
- Required certifications before start: ACLS and BLS (must be current)
- Required certifications before start: PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS (ENPC within 90 days of hire)
- Strong teamwork mindset with ability to coach and give constructive feedback
- Willingness to float to all sections within the Emergency Department
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with Cerner electronic documentation
- Skilled in triage, cardiac monitoring and emergency procedures
- Comfortable with Baxter infusion pumps and GE patient monitoring systems
- Trauma and stroke care knowledge (NIHSS experience)
- Excellent communication, patient advocacy and AIDET-focused bedside manner
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, culturally diverse environment
