Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care for acutely ill patients, monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to changes quickly
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and document treatments accurately and timely
• Perform thorough patient assessments and escalate changes in condition to providers
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date charting in the electronic health record
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure (able to practice in North Carolina by start date)
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience (explicit requirement)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications a plus
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced acute care telemetry environment
• Ability to pass facility background checks and credentialing in a timely manner

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in telemetry monitoring and interpretation of cardiac rhythms
• Skilled in medication administration and IV management
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong prioritization and time management in high-acuity situations
