Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care for acutely ill patients, monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to changes quickly
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and document treatments accurately and timely
- Perform thorough patient assessments and escalate changes in condition to providers
- Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date charting in the electronic health record
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Qualifications
- Current RN licensure (able to practice in North Carolina by start date)
- Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience (explicit requirement)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications a plus
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced acute care telemetry environment
- Ability to pass facility background checks and credentialing in a timely manner
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in telemetry monitoring and interpretation of cardiac rhythms
- Skilled in medication administration and IV management
- Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong prioritization and time management in high-acuity situations
